Rasheed, Muhammad. "Denying Science as a Multi-Colored, Political Art Form." Cartoon. The Official Website of Cartoonist M. Rasheed 18 Sep 2020. Pen & ink w/Adobe Photoshop color.

Michael L. Davis - Tell you what, I won't try to define blackness or the black experience for you, and you stop trying to define queerness or the queer experience for us. Mkay?

Muhammad Rasheed - lol

In the last couple of years, the two special interest groups who have been most rabid in their attacks against the American Descendants of Slavery political unification movement have been Black immigrants and the LGBT. So when you say that you "won't try to define blackness or the black experience" for me, it just actually looks like you're trying to give me more material to make fun of in a cartoon.

Luis Alberto Llacza - @Muhammad… I'm very curious to know your reasoning as to why that suddenly justifies what you did

Muhammad Rasheed - You'd understand if you saw Robert Townsend's "Hollywood Shuffle" movie.

Michael L. Davis - "The LGBT?"

We aren't an organization. There isn't any "the LGBT." There's no gay agenda to stop ADOS political unification. There's no historical record of that being a thing. In fact, there are plenty of times when the opposite was true, when queer and black communities worked together for mutual protection.

Luis Alberto Llacza - @Muhammad… an 80's movie that shows both the struggles of being black and the gay stereotype as jokes? seems more like a product of its time to me

Michael L. Davis - @Muhammad… you wanna cite THAT movie for informing your view on queer people? That movie that plays up harmful queer stereotypes?

The thing that bothers me about Hollywood Shuffle is the movie is all about a black man faced with the struggle of playing up harmful stereotypes for the enjoyment white audiences. And yet, it includes a bunch of harmful stereotypes about queer people, seriously undercutting its own message.

Sean Linen - @Muhammad… If this was maybe one time, I could shrug it as a bad take or maybe just general ignorance, but at this point you're really demonstrating a pattern of homophobia.

Muhammad Rasheed - Michael wrote: "you wanna cite THAT movie for informing your view on queer people?"

No. It informs my view of how white males of all sexual preferences have used mass media to "try to define blackness or the black experience" to indoctrinate the culture with nonsense at my expense.

Michael wrote: "The thing that bothers me about Hollywood Hustle..."

It's called "Hollywood Shuffle."

Muhammad Rasheed - @Sean... I'm not "homophobic" at all. I don’t have a problem critiquing other political interest groups the way I'm being critiqued by these same groups. People who interpret that as "homophobia" are wrong.

Muhammad Rasheed - Michael wrote: "The LGBT?"

Yes.

Michael wrote: "We aren't an organization."

It's an amalgamation of different political organizations that form a powerful lobby.

Michael wrote: "...when queer and black communities worked together for mutual protection."

Show me record of all the times when the LGBT lobby have advocated for Reparations and the Black Political Agenda, please.
