Anonymous - Why don’t black people fighting for equal rights work towards “little black children and little white children playing together” like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. wished for?

Muhammad Rasheed - During the antebellum South, you could find scenes of li’l Black and white children playing together in many a Plantation yard. Did that magically mean that chattel slavery — the ultimate violation of equal rights — was somehow a fiction then?

The Questioner gives the impression that all the hard work of eradicating anti-Black systemic racism should be skipped in favor of a meaningless show performance of Black people “getting along” with white people on a shallow surface level — like those two distinct class groups of slave era babies — and that will mean that Dr. King’s dream will have been achieved. This is not realistic and it completely misses the entire point of Dr. King’s jim crow era mission, which was to free the American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS) from the systemic racism that exploited and plundered them and eradicate the white supremacist-fueled poverty that gripped their communities by paying the long over-due Reparations in wealth and land grants they were owed.
