Like many other fans I've always admired the superstar boxers, those who were physically gifted enough to do things the average boxer couldn't do, like lead with a power shot, and casually duck a 7-8 punch combo by pulling their face back just out of reach. These are the guys that draw the big crowds and keep the sport relevant. But I get a special thrill when watching a boxer who is simply 100% solid in the fundamentals and dominates an opponent who is much sloppier with poor defense.
I love watching those performances that demonstrate the Sweet Science as a functional close combat art as well as a sport.
