This #MRasheedCartoons image was inspired by the fact that the Black American former slave class ethnic group is still being criminalized through marijuana, despite the drug’s celebrated recent legalization and mainstream acceptance as a wealth-building commodity product by the 1% racketeering grifter class. Starting with Harry Anslinger’s obsessive and racist persecution of jazz-swing superstar Billie Holiday, the decades of legislature layers that fixed targeting Black Americans for middle passage drug-related arrests to fill the for-profit prisons will take a lot of work to unravel – efforts that cannot be done in a single Executive Branch administration even if he/she was 100% committed.
