ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION
This #MRasheedCartoons image was inspired by the Wilder vs Fury trilogy, following a couple of threads I explored on Quora a few years ago. I noticed the dip in skills of fighters in general over the years, particularly notable because it made the unusually dual-skilled Floyd Mayweather, Jr. look nearly superhuman. But the fact that the industry at large stopped catering to the true fans of the sport, but hyped up sensational events to draw profits from the layman casual event viewers -- who care not a whit for the actual 'sweet science' skills displayed and actually find them boring -- the stage had already been set for this type of fake 'reality tv' semi-scripted drama.

****************

Cultivators of Thought - Deontay Wilder worked four jobs to support his daughter who was unwell to give her better care. He began boxing to gain money for his daughter, and he was still working his regular jobs. He is the American dream. He is an absolute legend. Respect Wilder!

Leah Walton - I love girl dads.

Cordie Dillard Jr - Ok

Chris Ray - And he should get a jab and learn how to block. Lol. But this is a great life story.

Marcus Cox - Kudos…however is this a post to soften the blow of getting his but kicked in the ringπŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Leah Walton - Can't a bruh gets some empathy from other bruhs?

Roderick Bryant - Nope, not when he’s using his daughter as a prop. Chris Rock said it best: “It’s what you’re SUPPOSED to do, m————a! What you want, a cookie?”

Chris Ray - No ma’am!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Donna Wooten Harvey - You guys are SAVAGES!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Muhammad Rasheed - I wonder if the same people making fun of Wilder for his high talent/low skills are same ones who were making fun of Mayweather's high talent/high skills for "running?"

Wilder has poor defense, but willingness to stand and trade and make the fight exciting ("give the fans what they want") which was the literal opposite of what Floyd represented. I expect hypocritical double-talk, but to see Black people mimic my white racist opponents, that's when I get angry.

Marcus Cox - @Muhammad... this has nothing to do with race. We are talking about Wilder unwillingness to learn how to box.

Muhammad Rasheed - Mayweather demonstrated his superior boxing skills and was disparaged for it. Wilder demonstrated his lack of boxing skills and was disparaged for it.

This type of hypocritical double-talk is always about race.
