Inktober 2025 by M. Rasheed

Muhammad Rasheed - After a lengthy hiatus caused by self-inflicted burnout (my Gag-A-Day project unwisely turned into an up to Five-A-Day project), I'm back! Since it was the inspiring fun of the 2017 Inktober challenge that originally helped me get the ball rolling on a Gag-A-Day series in the first place, I decided to use this year's Inktober to get me back into the game. Unlike the ones I did in 2017, 2018 and 2019, I decided not to do these in black-n-white, but focus on successful interpretation of the prompt as I allowed the weight of the daily art project to prime me back into my regular drawing habits.

Even though I'm making this Blog post into the second week of the month, I actually haven't missed a day, having faithfully posted my 2025 Inktober dailies on my ArtPal, Facebook, Twitter, Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee sites (my Instagram/Threads accounts were banned-deleted by Meta for the second time in a year, so I'm letting that battle go). Personally, I feel that by Day-03 I had pretty much returned to form where I left off, and now as I get ready to conceptualize the Day-10 'Sweep' prompt as I write this, I feel very comfortable with both the challenge and my art.

I appreciate your patience and willingness to rejoin me on my artistic journey. Peace. 🤗
