CITATION
Rasheed, Muhammad. "Ham Radio QSL Card - Rockin' Randy." Cartoon. The Official Website of Cartoonist M. Rasheed 15 Oct 2025. Pen & ink w/Adobe Photoshop color.
Muhammad Rasheed - A ham radio operator hired me to create a custom cartoon illustration for a "QSL Card" — which isn't an acronym, but a ham radio international Q-code that is used as shorthand to mean "I confirm receipt of your transmission." Apparently, there's a long-time tradition of these folks using the QSL card as the radio equivalent of a handshake, confirming that the two operators heard each other, and people actually get pretty excited over the post cards, as they're exchanged widely among millions of hobbyists.
Rockin' Randy is in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, somewhere out in the middle of Micronesia, and getting his exotic post card is a big deal. I'm glad I could help add to the culture.
