ARTIST'S DESCRIPTION
Alas. The self-described Orthodox Jew who today’s #MRasheedCartoon image is paraphrasing, didn’t direct his message towards me (or to my activist character). Instead I found it within the comments section under an article about the need for ADOS-directed Afrocentric schools to save our youth from the toxicity of the public school system’s Eurocentric white supremacist indoctrination, and its penchant for teaching our kids to hate themselves.
I took some liberties with the intended scope of the anonymous Orthodox Jew’s comment since I saw it had an obvious wider application in the greater fight against anti-Black systemic racism. I would like to think that individual wouldn’t mind, since he’s already demonstrated a willingness to be a masked hero for the underdog.
