CITATION
Rasheed, Muhammad. "Why You Absolutely MUST 'Bank Black'." Cartoon. The Official Website of Cartoonist M. Rasheed 26 Dec 2020. Pen & ink w/Adobe Photoshop color.
dean okpara - I dont necessarily know if I agree with this
toon. So your suggesting we should bank with whites as usual? Let's not
chastise black bankers with a narrow scope.
Muhammad Rasheed - It means that "black bankers"
are just white bankers in blackface through the usual routine. The so-called
"black bank" has been compromised since Reconstruction, and banking
with them does not provide economic uplift for the group the way it would if it
was not compromised. In fact, because of the pressure black bank owners receive
to perform in their industry, they are more likely to grift Black people harder
just to prove to whites they deserve to be in the position they are in within a
monopolized, white supremacist controlled industry.

Was the Call but “Instead, They Got a Bank” by Jared A. Ball
dean okpara - the entertainer 'killer Mike' is the poster boy for one bank. Are you referring to him and his campaign in your condemnation? It's sad to believe we are such whores for wyte money and approval
Muhammad Rasheed - I'm referring to all efforts to
pressure Black Americans to blindly "bank black" when the concept is a
predatory white supremacist grift scheme that will not help Black Americans in
any way, shape or form. Please read the white paper in the link I provided so
you will understand how "black banks" actually function, as opposed
to the uninformed "feel good" message promoted by popular black
entertainment figures. Note that the Black Celebrity is a thoroughly
compromised group routinely used as the "poster child" to promote
predatory white racist grift schemes targeting Black Americans.
Are you a Caribbean-American with a "black bank" in your family,
dean?
dean okpara - nah. I identify as ADOS .💯. Pops was rasta. My choctaw grandmother gave me the moniker. Nope. No bankers in prince hall projects Oklahoma city, Oklahoma, where I'm from.
Muhammad Rasheed - What does "Pops was rasta" mean?
dean okpara - my father is jamaican.
Muhammad Rasheed - Thanks.
