englishmen7 - why is the white person calling another White person a cracker? isn't he also a cracker?

Muhammad Rasheed - "Cracker" is the term elitist legacy wealth whites use for the poor white class.

englishmen7 - oh right, I always thought the term meant for all whites, I honestly thought it was a word used by blacks to call whites because whites kept calling them the N word.

Muhammad Rasheed - No, it's origins come from 16th century England, where the aristocracy called the poor peasants 'crackers' because it meant "braggart" or a "fast talker." The poor whites have a long cultural history of treating slick-talking grafting and theft as a virtue. When they were brought over to North America as indentured servants, the wealthy class continued to call them 'crackers' representing the class of settlers with undesirable dishonest and unruly characteristics.
